Guidelines For Nomination

Purpose of the Award
To recognize employees who have served the Agency in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work and exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. 

Nomination and Selection Process

These guidelines are to be followed and are subject to review whenever necessary:

  1. The EOQ Committee shall have the responsibility for managing the nomination, selection, and award process for the EOQ program.
  2. EOQ Committee members are NOT eligible either to nominate a candidate or to be nominees.
  3. One (1) staff per quarter shall be selected for a single award each quarter.  
  4. Members of staff on study leave as well as newly employed (one year) are not eligible to vote for any of the nominees for the quarter they were not present in the Agency.  
  5. A candidate for the award must be an individual, not a department, unit, or group of people.
  6. Voting shall be made by ONLY staff of the Agency and not NYSC nor IT students. 
  7. Each staff shall vote ONLY one candidate each quarter; therefore, a unique staff username and password is required for the e-voting platform. If more than 1 vote submission carries the same staff identification, it shall result in an invalid vote for all submissions with the same staff number.
  8. A nominee can receive votes from all departments/units.
  9. All staff shall vote through the voting platform https://eoq.nitda.gov.ng
  10. Nominee, who receives the award for a quarter, maybe nominated again.
  11. A recipient for the award must meet the following criteria: 
    • Must not have any active disciplinary action pending
    • Must have the highest score.

Award Framework
Award recipient shall receive:

  • An award presented by Director-General 
  • A photo of the EOQ winner to be prominently displayed in the Agency
  • An Employee of the Quarter Plaque
  • A designated parking space for a period
